For those of you who don't know - I attend British Military Fitness classes at least once a week.
This morning was my first fitness assessment and I think I definitely earned my spot in the advanced group!
Absolutely wrecked now though - will be back in bed shortly after lunch
Enjoi your weekends everyone

Not I, it seems the doctors (go figure) are wrong somehow... my headache is twice as bad is it's ever been, and now my right eye wanders on the new medication. That really can't be good. Despite that, and against my better judgement... I drove into work so now I am stuck for a few hours until the meds wear off or I can get someone to take me to the doctor. This just doesn't feel right at all. Lets not even go into why I can't feel my legs. If it gets any worse, I might just go straight to the hospital. Something just isn't right and it's neurological in nature.

Heck Mo, I'd offer to drive you but it would be after rush hour tonigh before I got there. There is NO REASON for being at work like that.
Crank up that "fire" of yours, and make it abundantly clear to the dear doctor that what you're on just ain't workin' out. If they've got you tranked out to the point where you can't fire up on them, get me a phone number and I'll be happy to explain in great detail the risk that they have put you through and the associated risk that your risk puts them through!

if this one dude IMs me a smiley face again, I am going to send him a camera phone pick of my arse. The economy is collapsing and it should not be long before my contract gets cut anyways.

Why not just send him an assicon to illustrate how you feel?: http://www.cylive.com/content/11165/...ns_Emoti_Asses

I used number 11 in a post aimed at someone at SQLTeam once.
this dude is playing the little sister game with me weekly. He screws with me just enough to annoy me on a regular basis and then I finally get sick of it and I over react and verbally bop him one and then every one treats me like I got out of line. Its not unlike half the unnecessary roughness calls in football. I did not get to Great Falls because I I did not escape fast enough.

This is not the time to freak out dudes and dudettes .. The economy is not collapsing. It's a cycle that happens every few years and we will recover and move on. Every time this happens it's because one sector of the economy goes through a "melt down" due to human stupidity and greed. It affects other sectors for a couple of years then recovers later. What makes this crisis worse than usual is that it started with a huge sector (housing mortgages) which makes the effects bigger and the recovery slower ..

the economist I was listening to on Marketplace or the telly was calling the situation in the credit swap markets a once in a century situation. This guy layed this thing out for me really well.
A credit swap is like an insurance policy for an investment. However they call it a swap instead of insurance because if they called it insurance, it would have to be backed up by adequate capital because of regulations. The problem is that the swaps were not backed up by any capital and all of these swaps were insurance on the investments in the securities that were based on the sub prime mortgages. So when those securities went bad, everyone turned to their fake insurance in their investments and there was no money there. Poof. AIG Lehman brothers etc....a giant house of cards based on crap.
So now, no one wants to lend any money to anyone. the real scary part is that the credit swap market is estimated (only estimated because it is unregulated) to be between 50 and 60 Trillion dollars.
Get your head around that and that Swaps are a recent invention of Wall Street.

If you change your focus from a three year history of the market to a ten year history of the market, this ends up looking like a simple market correction.

I agree with The Blind One. Perhaps not brought about by typical market forces, but instigated by the sub-prime crap....but gotta tell ya, the market has been flying upward somewhat unrealistically for a few years. Of course there are exceptions, but there is a lot of crap out there that just really needed to be slapped down a few notches.
When we turn it's gonna be fun though...if anyone has any money left to toss into the ring by then.
