yes. He was trying to sell me ipod accessories or some nonsense.
The lady on IM just said "you code differently than us". It took a lot of self control to not type "Yeah I make an attempt at proper normalization, declared referential integrity, indexing and set based processing".

Pat, you are mistaken. The purpose of legalized Marriage is not, and never was, to promote childbirth. Nothing in the institution of marriage requires a couple to have children. Nothing prevents unmarried couples from having children. Nothing prevents non-fertile couples from being married.
That argument is nothing short of ridiculous.
The purpose of Marriage in our society is to promote stability. Stable relationships lead to a peaceful community. Same-sex marriages perform the same function as "traditional" marriages.

The team lost 8 developers and I was the eighth. Just found out. I think I am going home to find my self a scrappy little start up. I think I want to be a big fish in a little pond again.
Much thinking to do.

In my defence, I rarely take holiday - this will be my 3rd day off since June.

I am not. This place was a decision I made in haste and out of convenience. They never kept me very busy and the work was a little too easy.
We will see. the economy is sour and I have an aversion to this town's number 1 industry.

choices. do I go home and call my 2 out of work buddies and get wasted or do I go home and rewrite the resume, push the button on some contacts, order some books for some certification tests and refresh my resumes online? I am not sitting in this cube after I finish lunch.
