On behalf of the dc commuter i am asking u all to stay out of dc for the inaugural. cracked rail on the red line and it is going to be two hours getting home today. i could have walked it faster.
the train today was one of those scenes of human ugliness that makes me want to build a shack in the woods. k street is gridlocked. rudy i am going to need your special medicine tonight. i am ready to die.
maybe some handheld interweb porn will cheer me up.
i had to stop dbaing. i was not masochistic enough.

influenza? cold?
i had this cure, it involves two socks and a hat
the socks have to be worn, not freshly laundered, preferably think and wooly and straight from the laundry hamper, and you wrap them both around your neck (safety pins optional if they are really long and can be tucked in securely)
then get a bottle of scotsch (edit: that was a german typo, a freudian slip if you will) and a hat and get into bed, put the hat down at the foot of the bed, drink the scotch until there are two hats, and go to sleep

Perhaps TMI if it was interweb munchkin on dwarf porn, but the "normal" stuff, hell, I'll take links if you got 'em...

I like your cures, Rudy!
BTW....was "just doing research" and ended up ordering AT&T "Internet Elite" (Downstream Speed: Up to 6.0 Mbps, Upstream Speed: Up to 768 Kbps - - - I suppose that means it could be just 5.0 Kbps and still be within spec though) and DirecTV HD service.
Sheesh. I was just looking. Oh well, that's the way I "looked" for my new truck, my new TV's, and most new stuff I get in life (Including The Bolivian *LOL*).
Maybe that'll teach CharterCommunications to not be such @sses. Probably not though. But saves me $75 a month on combined internet and TV, with more channels and an extra outlet in the girls' place (which the cable company wouldn't wire because it is a separate "monther-in-law's cottage").
Works for me. Plus I get to call Charter and politely tell them to kiss my arse.

I've eaten 18 saltines and had two giner ales since 7:00pm Tuesday night. I just left he family room for the first time in two days (except for the bazillion trips to the bathroom) and it was just to take a shower and grab my laptop and go back to the couch. I didn't even have enough energy to crawl upstairs to my own bedroom. I feel so awful. Went to the doctor on Wednesday because my fever was 103.4, and the tests came back this morning... I'm a CDC database statistic... yay salmonella. Best diet ever. 8 pounds and counting
There it nothing at all on 500 cable channels during the day. just fyi.

It's all but over for the Chargers. Not a huge surprise there, and not just because I was rooting for the other team. LT was out too.
