Yak Corral V5.x

Well, since the regular Yak Corral is almost up to 100 pages (by default viewing settings), and there have been no posts in the last 20 hours, this may be a good time to begin the new version of the Yak Corral, before actual useful threads become affected.

Oh, and one more thing. Since this is the Internet:

Did the other one die? is this just a punishment on us for not writing anything in the past 20 hours? or is it because some folks will try anything to be first in the corral

Wouldn't the name be better if it implied some sort of beta status as then we won't be able to complain when it falls over again?

The other one is not dead yet, and you can certainly post there. The Yak Corral III started showing signs of wear at page 149, so I figured I would take advantage of the lull, and start a new one. Besides, it did give me the chance to post "first" ;-).

Oh, admit it! You were going to do the same thing after a while.

so when does Yak Corral 3 come of maintenance and get consigned to application hell?

two years after the release of the new version?

are there people desperate enough to appeal to iNET Interactive to extend it for yet another period?

son of a....

I wish you guys would quit jacking around the corral...I have to keep updating my favorites link so it goes to the newest post for each of them.

...and for crissake, y'all should know that I am a VERY busy man and am presently without a lackey to take care of this type of detail for me.

Well if your favourites include a link to the Corral IV you clearly have barely any free time during the day.
Sounds like you need to get minionising - I will give you some pointers

In other news...Mom sent me an email saying she was carefully crafting an email about my recent engagement and was going to take her time because she wants to make sure it conveys her thoughts and feelings accurately.

*sigh*

She's already hinted that it will contain references to her feeling that "you should maybe relax and take some time on this one, you seem to be rushing things like you did before with Wife_V1.0, Wife_V2.0, and Wife_V3.0."

How does one define "more time"? It's been TWO YEARS already, for crissake. The first one was probably 4 years, the second was about 4 months (got me on that one, Ma), the third was about a year (I'll grudgingly give you that one too).

Ahhh...Mom. Gotta love 'er. She knows the decision is already made, but has gotta put her thoughts on the wall regardless. I will, of course, do the same with my kids, so I can't fault her for that. Interestingly enough, when I told her about it on the phone, her first comment was "well, I hope you didn't buy her a ring as big as the one you got for Wife_3.0".
