Ahhhh....today I have leftover corned beef and cabbage (and potatoes) for lunch. I love that stuff. slow-cooked in a crock pot all day yesterday, consumed voraciously last night...but I always buy a big enough slab of meat that there is leftovers for a couple days. The Bolivian and the girls like it too, which cuts down on my leftovers these days (dammit!).

Also had a few glasses of Grand Old Parr (hand-delivered from Bolivia by The Bolivian's Father (whom I suppose should be referred to as The Other Bolivian, or perhaps even "The One From Who's Loins The Bolivian Sprung")).

If y'all ever get a chance to try this whiskey, do so. I love the stuff. It is smooth as hades. It's my new favorite for heavy and prolonged drinking. It's great after the first couple hard-edged shots of Mr. Daniels' or Mr. Walker's efforts. I and my liver are probably lucky it is so hard to find.
This post should be framed and exhibited.

Snappy yet linguistically rich, a tight narrative that effortlessly and seamlessly transports the reader from one observation to the next, and parenthesis control to die for. I can only see the misspelling of favorite as a reason not to give a ten.

Belated birthday wishes Mo - you kept that one pretty quiet!

I'll make sure to raise a glass for you next time I'm down the pub

actually, people having birthdays are always listed on the site's home page

for instance, there are a dozen members celebrating their 68th birthday today!!!

problem is, who visits the home page?

this thread had a hilarious outcome: do not print duplicate of left side of join

make note of post #2 in passing if you decide to read it

You know, sadly I noticed this at the time I was typing out the original post. I actually stopped for a second to decide whether to correctly nest my parenthesis. I mentally chastised myself for being a true nerd (and an anal one to boot) when I decided to do so.

you guys are boring today.

i am going to play it cool. I am not even going to reach out right away to see if she comes to me.

HEH I CAN USE A SR SQL DEVELOPER IN DC AT A GOOD (I THINK) COMPANY.

The best part is that you would have my constant company five days a week during office hours minus lunch and hopefully bathroom breaks.

Wait, are you saying you would hopefully be sharing time with your new SR SQL Developer on bathroom breaks?

I was going to apply, but I have a hard enough time in the bathroom with The Guy That Insists On Talking To Me While We Pee, not to mention The Guy That Drops His Pants All The Way To The Floor...so I don't think I can handle bathroom breaks with a coworker.

I try to avoid social bathroom breaks as it is, but due to the frequency of my visits they become unavoidable. I did say minus.

There is such a conspiracy afoot. Both of my sisters called to remind me she is home today. Evidently she paid a visit to my older sister on the way home. They like to think they are subtle and clever and it explains why mom made dad call me last weekend because mom and I never b@llsh*t each other. All of the cards are on the table between us. I feel like I am being herded into a mating pen.

enough narcissism. my alma matter lost in the tournie before I got home. sux. It will be another 18 or so years I guess. I am almost certain Rudy could give us a rundown of the days highlights, but I will check out the tv just in case.

Have I missed something? Who's "she"? Are you at online moniker stage yet? The Bolivian, The Cake Baker and Nigella have all gone.

My vote is for "The Hippy" or "The Librarian"

I can't work out how to take this:

Yes....and no. It's a compliment alright, and a very sweet one too. Just not the sort of compliment you want from a gymnast.

I'd take it as one, even if its wasn't meant as one. after all theres precious few doing the rounds so grab one whilst you can.

I suppose it all depends on the context, it could be good, very good or it could be bad.

perhaps its an opening gambit next time you meet, or to encourage commumnication leading up to another meet.
