Yeah, I tell ya...sometimes I seriously think about heading out to Bolivia with Patricia and the kids and building a place on her property there (she owns probably 50 acres or so right next to her father's ranch) and just following in my relatives' (and her relatives', for that matter) footsteps and ranching the rest of my life. Right now the plan is to do so in retirement, when maybe the political climate there will have settled a bit.

...but it's quite tempting, quite often.

I take steps to keep a low profile. An old college roommate recently tracked me down through a mutual friend and he said the only thing online he could find of me were some empty social networking profile pages I never log into and some posts at SQLTeam and he is a tech savy IT manager. Zabba search has not had my current location for about 5 to 7 years.

My career plan is similar also, but slightly different. I like to ignore issues on the fly, rather than figure them out.

And in other news...wedding bands for The Bolivian and I are due in-country today, direct from Bolivia. Little by little things are lining up. She has also chosen her bridesmaid already *L* If I had to choose at the moment, I would have to choose a woman for my best man.

I am tired. I stayed up until 1:30 AM this morning ironing. I need to get back on track with that and do it every week so I don't end up with a mountain of ironing once a month. I want to sleep, but it's hard to hide in a cubicle. Heeeyyyyyy...boss is working from home today...maybe I can slip into his office unnoticed and sleep on the meeting table.

Yeah I did not fall asleep to ~2am. Torche and Harvey Milk rocked my face off last night at the Rock n Roll Hotel and I ended up sucking down 3 or 4 pints. I have figured out if I skip my night time snack, I can consume 1 pint an hour without elevating my bloodsugar above 130 or so as long as I have had a light dinner and some exercise. So I have been offcially off the wagon for a couple of weeks. bad bad bad. old habits.

Hey, are any of you in any fantasy football leagues?

I get into at least one league in Yahoo! Sports every year (2 this year) and last year got into one that was organized by a guy in my casino chip collectors club. That was a lot more fun because you "know" people in the league and can talk smack before/after the games. This year I was too late so it will probably be just the free leagues for me.

Two wives ago I was in a fantasy football league (we had to do manual scoring back then, for crissake) that was people from my wife's accounting office. Of the probably 5 seasons we played, I took first 3 years, and was in the money the other two.

At the time of my divorce they were murmering about not letting me play the next season because they were tired of losing all the money they put in. *LOL*

And I don't even take it seriously enough to research the new players and stuff. I just draft the people I know and like.

I can't wait for football season. This season I will have TWO big-screen HD TV's. I might have to spring for NFL network this year...but it is so damn expensive I might just suck it up and watch games the old-fashioned way...which ever is on, I watch.

I have no time for fantasy football, but I have considered getting some kind of FiOs\cable (currently on rabbit ears and standard definition) and a new HDTV for the season. The thought of no Monday Night Football without cable kind of stinks. Baseball season without cable has been rough, but with the Redskins and the Nationals looking like losers again this year, I might just keep the money in the bank.
