Have you had a run in at SQLTeam too Rudy? I know Sean did all those moons ago. They didn't throw a party for me when I hit 1000 posts so I quit in a sulk - I understand they have not yet fully recovered from the loss.

no, i just stopped visiting their forum (many years ago, actually, so things might have changed) because of their condescending and brusque treatment of newbies

But condescending and brusque treatment of newbies of one of the perks of being a gigaposter. That, and all the women.

As geeks I feel we should at least strive to get our terminology correct - shouldn't it be kiloposter? and when do all the women come round? perhaps it's at the 10k mark? I do need to know in advance as I might need to clean up around the place and get some sandwiches in.

I'm looking for opinions, and you are the most opinionated lot I know (most of my meat friends are liberal wishy washes that couldn't fall one side of the fence or t'other if the life of a disabled black lesbian depended on it).
I want some new earphones for exercising. Requirements:
- Shut out egregious gym music
- Don't fall out of me shells
- Look resplendent
- Equally at home when running as when performing Skullcrushers
- Robust
Ideally some cunning mechanism to prevent them getting tangled.
Thank you - that will be all.

I did a quick search on Amazon for you and came up with this neat set. They are also a rather fetching shade of yellow - how can you fail to impress. No doubt every time I go to amazon from now on, I'll be bombarded with every type of headphone, earpiece and codpiece they have on offer. To really impress though, I think you should just go to the local music college and hire a violinist to play beside you during your gym session - for full effect you should hire a pretty one and insure that she comes in black evening dress.

Thank you Mike.
I don't reckon these will work for me:

If your workouts involve a good deal of lying on your back with your head on the floor or bench, these won't work.

I did some googling of my own (of course) and am looking at Sennheiser CX300-II as well as some other brands.

I think she should probably cover the cost of that.

I had some not long ago that were cloth instead of rubber covered and that helped with the tangle issue. I forget the brand.
Oh yeah, Tara. She got married and got her MVP. Good times.
I hate the world again today.

Mike, did you not read the forum by-laws? As a Moderator you are no longer allowed to fraternize with female forum participants (or male either, if that's what floats your boat).

I've never seen any earphones that incorporate a face mask.

Avoid Bluetooth. They do not work outdoors, and would be useless for running/jogging.
