I was a staunch Jack Daniels drinker for most of my life, and I still like it from time to time, but mostly these days it's Jim Beam Black Label (they have a green also, don't they?) or Old Parr. I REALLY like Old Parr but there are only a couple places in the US that seem to have it. Mine always comes via Bolivia these days...and I am currently empty. I think it is scottish if I recall correctly.

Hmmm...at the company-wide meeting this morning, the owner told us that he is seriously thinking about buying an office building in Dallas and asked who would be interested in moving there if he goes ahead with the plans. If he is now officially talking about it, that probably means the place is in escrow now, right? *sigh* He says he would keep this office too, but methinks the last part might be a fib over the long run.

So...I guess tonight I broach the subject at home. I have no idea how she will react to that possibility. Should be an interesting discussion. Then eventually when I have to decide, what do I do? Dallas of all places. Dallas is the ugliest place in Texas. When people from the north, and right and left coasts started moving to Texas, all the Texans got together in a secret meeting and agreed to pick the poorest, God-forsaken spot in Texas and sacrifice it to the outsiders. That place was/is Dallas.

Although, it would be fun to be back in Texas.

But probably not sufficiently fun to outweigh being in Dallas.
*heavy sigh*

When I was younger, I drank the 100 proof Old GrandDad but after awaking naked and bewildered, and not knowing where I was too many times, my friends stopped letting me buy it.

A little bluegrass and whiskey and you wouldn't need the lube. Hell, you probably wouldn't need the paddle either.

no bluegrass tonight. Off to Maryland for some doom and grind metal show, got my telecommute signed off on for tomorrow so I just need to role over and fire up the vpn at 8 or 9 and then downtown to see my new lady friend tomorrow night. I know I have Saturday plans but they are escaping me at the moment.

But there will be whiskey.

A friend with an HTC showed me possibly the best phone app I have seen last night. Bar code scanner - scan an item and it will tell you what it is and compare prices off the interwebs. A free one too bundled with the phone.

I am due a new phone - not sure what to get.

I love that app!
Poots, get yourself an Android phone. I am now rocking the Motorola Milestone (I chose it over the HTC ones because of the physical keyboard) and I love it to bits.
Loads of lovely free apps
