I don't think that Ireland rules over the rest of Great Britain yet.

I have the Motorola/Google Droid, and I too, am waiting for an upgrade. Some folks already have the droid OS 2.2, but it's not available for us verizon folks yet, and I'm not willing to "root" anything on it to get it early. I need it though, so my bluetooth earipiece will work with the phone. Speaking of that, what cell company puts out a handset that does not work with a bluetooth headset????? WTF??? They are able to say it "supports bluetooth" because once you activate "hands free" application on the handset, it talks/listens through the headset, but it is still necessary to make the call and hang up with the handset! I call bullshit!
The 2.2 OS is supposed to fully support bluetooth headsets. Meanwhile I have to use a jerry-rigged system that includes my Garmin GPS in the truck and "previously dialed or received" calls already in the phone. What a pain. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect that I would buy one of the hot new toys and learn that it does not include the support for technology that my last 3 "basic" phones had as a basic feature.

I've only been kinda paying attention. How the heck did we get to the top of the group? Last week we needed help from two other teams in the group in the form of losses and a little devine intervention to make it out of the group!

and what the hell is "injury time"??? A period in the game when it is OK to hack the other players without penalty? Damn soccer anyway. Such a ruthless and savage game. Although it would be cool to have like 5 minutes of "injury time" just prior to halftime in REAL football.

I thought that was included in Ice Hockey
I've heard football called many things in my time from the beautifull game to a "gents game played by thugs", but rutheless and savage. lets see can anyone think of a penalty in football the equivalent of US 'football' to "unecessary roughness"... WTF is the concept of "neccesary roughness"?
there is no need for 'injury time' in US 'football' as the potentially injured player gets wheelbarrowed off the field of play, stripped of his kevlar armour and given a phone to talk to mommy about how nasty the other boys play. A US collegaue of mine couldn't get to grips with ***** Leagues concept of a blood bin..... you send the injured player off to stem the flow of blood before returning to the game, but you are allowed a temporary replacement

Is California one of those places where using a "hand held electronic device" while driving is a no no.

Yes, thank <Deity>. Although there are tons of assholes out there still doing it anyway. It's an expensive ticket too...around $400 I think (although I got a $440 ticket for littering a couple months back, so our relative perspectives are a bit skewed at times). I wish someone would invent a small, hand-held or hood-mounted guided missile system for such sightings.

I built one of those in high school that was "tail mounted". A bit of clothes-hanger, an Estes C engine, balsa fins, and a "hotwire" igniter. Several of those had "cherry bomb" payloads... Did wonders to discourage tailgating, etc.
