Strongly recommand
Hello,
I had a training with them recently in Adobe software. I was in Shimla and They are excellent. You will have this opportunity to learn and and also in the same time tourism fun. Shimla has a wonderful weather and perspective.
The trainers are really good and well-experienced and the staff are professionals. They will handling everything you need from hospitality to education issues. I learn a lot of thing there and also enjoy friendly environment. Also it's cost effective.
I strongly recommend you to chose koenig for your training.

Sounds like a tag-team shamelessly supporting/advertising Koenig. Or maybe the same person with two logins??

No, I don't think so, based on my checks.
I believe this is kosher.

Its a kosher post, I have just returned from Shimla myself after completing my Cisco Certified Voice Professional Qualification in 5 weeks. Compared to the alternative training providers in the UK Koenig are definitely a cheaper option and you get sufficient experience to pass exams and know how things work in practice.
To be honest this post was brought to my attention by my Koenig instructor and he asked if I would put a comment on. I am not affiliated with Koenig in any way, just a happy ex-student.

Koenig has a really, really poor reputation but the folks that like them seem to love them.
Even if the course offered by Koenig was free, by the time I figure in travel, lodging, the productive time lost, etc. it would cost more and take longer than the training that is readily available inside a 300 km radius.

Thank you for disclosing. It also explains why people who have never felt the need to post on here before would somehow "stumble" upon the post, decide to register and post a reply.
A common and relatively sophisticated spamming technique on forums is to have someone set up a question and a couple of days later another poster appear. Almost always both the posts are the peoples' firsts and the post is always about a single issue. What also raises our suspicion of course is when the OP does not solicit a comparison of providers but mentions only one.
Having been sent here by a Koenig employee does not make this spam, but it certainly skews the feedback. I imagine he did not ask any dissatisfied students to write anything.
Personally I hadn't heard of the company before so I have no axes to grind - I just police the forum and try my best to ensure every post is genuine.

The cost of the course is clearly stated on the Koenig website, you need to add in the flights and visa costs which was around £400 in total.
I picked up a load of materials/books for other Cisco courses (CCNA Wireless/Security/Design and CCNP) as the price was around £8 each rather than £50-60 per book.
The C.C.V.P was around £3400, including flights and extras I spent around £5000 for the 6 weeks I was in India. This included flights for my wife to come out for the last week so we could do the 'tourist bit' and see the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Jaipur and experience Delhi.
I did approach Firebrand in the UK for the training, the best price they could offer was around £8000 ex VAT and didn't include accommodation or 1 on 1 training.
I did contact other Indian based training organisations but the facilities weren't as good as the Koenig website.
as a side note why does the forum **** out C C V P?

Thanks MrFen.
I cannot say specifically why C C V however the admin has set up a pattern replace of some character sequences. This was during an especially heavy SPAM period lasting several months. There were some patterns in the posted URLs common to the spam posts and very rarely seen in genuine posts. As such, since we were unable to keep on top of the spam at that time the best (not ideal, but best) solution was replace certain patterns and neutralise a lot of SPAM. Unfortunately, this does result in the odd false positive but on the whole the balance is still in favour of the automated neutering.
I'm not certain if the pattern replace uses regex - if it does then we should be able to make it better targeted I suppose.

As pootle pointed out, DBForums is in a running battle with spammers trying to use our resources to sell their (mostly illegal or fraudulant) wares. Amongst the folks that steal and resell credit card information, the Credit Card Verification number is an important bit of data, since most card information is useless without it.

I immediately thought of Walter Koenig, and thought this was a Trekkie Convention...

Dude, that was Space 1999, not Star Trek.
Also, have any of you seen my Visitors Badge around here? It has my name in Klingon.

Hello all,
First, I openly disclose that I am a Firebrand employee.
I wanted to respond to the quote above re. Firebrand's pricing, which is untrue. We actually offer the C C V P for £6550 ex. VAT. All prices are available to anyone who clicks on the "Prices" tab on the website.
More importantly, this DOES include everything - accommodation, meals, courseware, and of-course six exams and certifications.
With regard to the comment that there is no 1-on-1 time, our classes are typically 12-hour days, and the instructors tailor their teaching in order to accommodate all learning styles. All courses are seperated into learning, hands-on labs and reviews (roughly a third each) - there is a lot of time to ask questions and gain individual help.
I won't explain any more about our product, at risk of sounding spammy, but I did want to explain the truth.
Please feel free to ask me any other questions, and I can ensure they are answered.
Cheers.

Thanks for the input Firebrand.
One of these days I need to investigate overseas training, although at the price difference (nearly a factor of ten) compared to that price at which I can get "bare bones but servicable" training within 2 km of my desk, I'll probably never pursue it. I can stay and eat at home so I avoid the travel hassels and I do have to pay for the exams separately, but that's all Ok by me!
