Just finished my Foundation Degree

Hey guys, I was just wondering what is the best route for me to take in becoming a DBA...

I've just finished my Foundation Degree in Computer Science, as a result of doing this course, I've done a few things with databases... my biggest achievement was creating an employee management system in VB.Net which connected to an SQL Database, the user could then Add, Delete and Edit employee's details as they saw fit... so, I guess I'm at a newbie level when it comes to database, I've also done the same via Access too, which isn't much different...

Anyways guys, what can I do to become a dba/what do I need to do?

Best bet is to apply for a junior-level dba position in a mid-sized company with at least one other experienced dba.
