What Browser do you like to develop for

Since Rudy doesn't want anyone to post about web application development in the other thread, I though I'd start one so that anyone can post about problems and solutions/work-arounds to browser incompatibilities.

I think it is a matter of trying to the common ground that is acceptable for the major browsers. I know that the default line height is different between browsers so it you specify the line-height in the stylesheet it can overcome the issue.

I have found less issues with Strict document types as opposed to Transitional and using divs is more consistent than tables although Float has to be used to ensure the correct rendering.

Whenever i make a site or webpage, i test it with Opera apart from validating the markup. Opera just rocks.

Edit: If the site works fine with Opera, it will most probably also work fine with all other major browser.

why?
there are plenty of sources of information on web development, but this site doesn't do that. yes there are attempts bridge that area, especially with the scripting languages buyt these are intended, primarily, to help with questions about talking to databases

This site is about databases.. the clue is out there...
1) the name DBforums
2) the tagline 'design, develop, adminsiter'
3) the fact that the first forums are all the big hitter server db's.

there are other websites that focus on web design issues including iNets own Hot Scripts Forums

Because I'm a moderator, not a dictator.

If it starts collecting spammers, then I will lock it.

I think Tesco's in the UK are about to offer it over the counter at half price. With the state of the economy its hard to get excited about anything.
