Database Certification Advise

Hi all,

I understand we have three microsoft database certification such as MCDBA, MCITP and MCM. I wish to do the MCITP due to its knowledge base but then it seems i have to have some MCTS certification in place. My question is; cant I just go on ahead for a MCITP exam without previous certifications from MCTS?

Any Response would be appreciated.
