debauchery? I am trying to figure out how I am going to make this concert Friday night in Philly where I am on the guestlist and backstage list, kegs and eggs st Patty's Day morning in Arlington, and Zakir Hussien Saturday afternoon at 3 in DC, etc... No sleep. No rest.

It's St. Patty's Day weekend. If you need rest and/or sleep, you should just stay home.
We are going out dancing and I don't expect to be home until around 8AM on Monday morning.
Take that, bitches!

Irish know to celebrate St. Paddy's day. Spend one night in Temple Bar during this upcoming weekend. Nothing compares.

I actually hear the best St Pattys Day is in South Carolina. Evidently the naturalization people diverted a bunch of boats down there when NY and Boston were being saturated.

I dunno about the biggest Saint Patrick's Day parties, but I definitely know some of the best!
I'll be doing a two-state Saitnt Patrick's Day parade this year with a few thousand of my closest friends! The civilian party starts at noon, and the Grand Hooley starts at 19:30. We're pretty sure that we'll be done before sunrise... On Monday!

Well I technically started last night and I am just resting up at work for a few hours. I am so tired. I am eventually going to work and party myself into a six foot hole, but I will have a little fun doing it.

Remember to have someone post the hours for the wake, so we can all go there and say: "Man, he owed me $50."

I always thought St Patrick's Day was kind of like Cinco De Mayo...Mexicans don't celebrate Cinco De Mayo, but we Americanos do FOR them, well, just because we need an excuse to drink excessive amounts of tequila.
For St. Patty's Day, I figured we need an excuse to drink excessive amounts of green beer and Single Malt Whiskey.

Again, sometimes I think we are the same person, Sean...or Twin Sons of Different Mothers (Sorry Danny...).
I drove to work this morning and fell asleep in the car for about a half hour before I made it into the office. STILL beat the rest of the lazy bastards on my team though. I will work for another hour and then go out and sleep for lunch in my truck for another hour.
Tonight I have to do "permanent green card" paperwork for Patricia to convince the immigration folks that we married for "real reasons" rather than just to get her a green card. I have to stay awake for probably two hours to do that, then will hit the sack and sleep until my alarm tells me it is time to take the kids to school, then go back home and sleep for an hour or so, then go to work and work until lunch time, when it is time to sleep again. Friday night I plan to hit the sheets early, sleep late on Saturday, and start drinking green beer and/or whiskey when I wake up until we go out to dine and dance. I may make Corned Beef and Cabbage instead of dining out, as is my tradition, but I have yet to even buy the stuff for it, so it just depends, I suppose, on how much I drink between now and then.
Priorities, you know.

BTW....my daughter is "famous". She was elected Queen of the comparso (group of bolivians we belong to) this year, and we had to buy a fancy dress with feathers and a huge headdress for the little parade they do at the party. THe party is on March 30th and is a one-night version of the carnaval for people here in Southern California that were not able to go "home" to Bolivia to attend the real thing each year. Here is her promo poster from her coronation:

Here is a picture of a small part of Patricia's family taken on the second night of Carnaval...

It is truly unfortunate that I'm the same age as her (step) father.
You are one disgustingly lucky guy!

Yeah, there could certainly be WORSE scenery when walking around the house.
I am not sure what I did to stumble upon this woman, but I dig it and all it's brought to my life (well, not so much the immigration and naturalization service stuff).
