I read it when I was a youngster. Someone bought me one of those $20 Barnes And Noble hard back collections of the original 3 novels for my birthday, and I just made it through the first one recently.

If someone insults or offends me, I'll cheerfully ignore them. I've seen too much violence to allow it to spread, and I've always respected the people that have enough self-control and maturity to ignore the idle noise of those who would provoke them.
If the attackers insult or offend the innocent, I'll step up and support the innocent. I won't fight for that, but I'll do what I can to make things right for an innocent that was harmed by a person or group like that.
If the attackers attempt to physically harm an innocent, then the fight is ON! I won't allow an innocent to come to harm.

My diatribe wasn't intended that way, but you're right.

You bastards always change the corral and then I go for a day or two just wondering where the hell y'all are.
I have a project due tomorrow but I just am going to blow it off and come in early and use the "unexpected stuff came up at the last minute" thing to get it postponed a day (or half a day for that matter).
I am recently umotivatable. My boss complained about it the other day in fact. He's probably going to have to fire me before I get motivated again, I dunno. I am really just tired and bored of this gig and I want out but I am too lazy to update my resume.

I have had a couple of those "Sean, you seem unhappy" conversations lately myself. I know what it is. It's the 18 month itch I get at every gig, but I am determined to make it to my 2 year anniversary. I just tell them I need some time off or some more work from days, but I am feeling that urge just to dump the bank account into a bag, jump in the 'Stang when it gets out of the shop today and just ride for the summer, and maybe longer. They are trying to pull me into some larger projects because they think I am bored, but the Truth is I have just ran out of CARE for this place, and I can not tell them that. This situation is unwinnable, and what good people we have are spread to thin to make any real change here. So I have resigned myself to keeping the barbarians at the gates, and no more.
