Need help with Ultra100 controller and XP

When I boot up I get a screen that says DETECTING and when it's done message reads "Ultra 100 bios not installed no drives attached" I can't figure out how to flash the bios, and what to use for XP O/S. Should my 80 pin cable be attached from HD to PCI card to flash bio's?

Thanks for any help you can provide.
