I am having the same problem getting rid of this. I am not comfortable going in to change the registry back to default without exact steps to follow from a good techy mind

any help is greatly appreciated

Download a free version of Lavasoft's "Ad-Aware" and run it.

Had same problem and did a lot (A LOT) of research into the subject on this forum and others.

sadly things like ad aware, spy bot , etc etc dont find sexyque and so don't get rid of it.

Sexyque and a similar thing coolhompage realy get you to the end of your tether... still here is the DEFINITIVE way to get rid of it.

I am not too clever / confident with messing about with my registry. But I do have Norton Utilities. In NU there is a simple registry editor that even I can use.

Open NU registry editor, click on edit - find.
type in sexyque and find it.

about 5 or 6 entries should come up in the box at the bottom. These are the registry locations where sexyque resides.

right click the folder icon and it will ask "go here?"

left click.

now in the box to the top right you should see the evil little git sexyque lurking. it will say something like
"default value http.//www.sexyque.com bla bla bla."

right click on the icon to the left of that line and it will ask "modify?"

left click and delete up to http.// (that is to say just the www.sexyque.com bla bla bla bit)

Repeat on each line that contains www.sexyque ( should only be the two)

and exit.

BYE BYE evil little git sexyque.

We produce software for Microsoft Windows, but we certainly don't allow it to be run here!

yep it changes your registry just by hitting a site.

MS Knowldge base has bugger all on it about this type of problem.

It says to just re-establish the homepage you want and then restart. Failing that then do a complete clean start.

Other forums I have visited went into enormous detail as to how and where to find rogue .dll 's and claim to kill sexyque - only to post again 2-3 days later saying oops.

My explanation above however DOES work and is dead simple.

I'd like Bill Gates to have sexyque for a while and see how p****d he got!!

It amazes me, simply amazes me, just how much B.S. a computer-user will accept.
