Unhappy win xp error

hi there,
im a new member ( vignesh)

i loaded win xp today and it stated an error,
it goies like this
" ERROR ON FILE : FAST FAT . SYS
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA"

and gave some numbers like OXOOOOOO1,OXFC3C8459

i dont understand what went wrong......... my system configuratin is PIII 866 MHZ, 128 MB Ram, Mercury Intel 810e chipset based mother board.

i currently have win 98 loaded on my PC. i badly need XP to be installed... can u help me out.........thnx

You have enough machine to run the system. If you upgraded from W9x you maight want to check the Disk Format, should be either NFST or Fat32.
