Linking Tables in Paradox

I am really new to Paradox. I have 5 tables in a query and I need to know how to link them. I miss SQL where you can just use inner joins.

HELP!!!

Thanks
Inna

When you have a blank query screen, you simply add the other tables you want to the screen using the toolbar button that has an icon of a table with a PLUS (+) on it. Then link each table using the join button which has an icon of two tables overlapping. Click the join button, then click common fields in two of the tables individually. This will generate the words Join1 (or 2 or 3 etc...) in the field blanks and the text will be red, indicating it is an example element.

If you like, you can manually enter each join by pressing the F5 key before typing each example element. The word used is irrelevant, you can use Join1 or abcd as long as the example elements match in the two fields you are joining.

By the way, Paradox has a complete SQL editor, so you can create SQL queries instead ov QBE queries, if you prefer.

Bye!
