Restructure error: Number is out of bounds

Paradox 8 database on windows 2k. Trying to restructure causes the following error: "Number is out of bounds"

This is a 11,000 record file. about 100 fields, db consists of only one db, one mb and one px file. Previously "insufficient disk space" errors were recorded, which seem to hav been repaired by using acompat.exe on temporary settings. Block size is increased but not to the full potential.

The database has no numerical fields and a date field. What could be causine this.

Shootin' form the hip here.

The date field is actually a number field and it could be that there is a string or numeric value which when converted to the date yields an out of range value.
