Exclamation Scan?

I have many old magazines w/ one or two articles I want. Is there a way to scan these (ocr) into paradox, and then retrieve the info with a word search? I just got Paradox 11, and have never used a db before. Any one game to take on the newbe?? Thanks All!

That surely can be done, but it's not an easy task.

Surely paradox can communicate with twain scanners, but the OCR part is the difficult one, since you need to call from paradox the dll's that came with the OCR product you have chosen to buy (Pdox has no built in OCR capabilities) to analyze the scanned page and return the text, wich then you can store in a pdox table, and then query.

I think that if you're a total beginner you should start with making a db which catalogues there magazines, or another simpler project, and only then pass on to these harder tasks...

Bye!
