Very true, we initially turned off checking of .net and .lck files as it was causing the system to slow down big time and even hang.

Eventually we told McAffee to stop checking the .db files as well, just no point.

That could well improve your performance.

most AV software has a default of "check all files", but also has an option such as "check only critical files" (or something like that) which changes the default to only check things that DO get hit, like zip files, word docs, etc..

there are no known viruses that attack any paradox file type..
