Paradox 8 and Japanese font sets

does anyone have experience or know how related to screening KANJI or HIRAGANA fonts within Paradox tables???

have imported text tables that fail on both font sets created with
NJSTAR WP.

this would allow sorts and queries of dbase tables.

help appreciated
