Database Read Only

The Paradox database will only allow us to read existing records. We cannot update, create, or delete any records. We are running Paradox version 8.0 on XP Professional. Any advice would be appreciated.

This is probably a permissions issue with XP - make sure you have FULL rights to the folder where the database is located. Also, if the tables and support files were copied from a CD, they will be read only. Right click them in Exploder and see if they are checked as Read Only.

Thanks Lmckelvy, removing the read-ony attributes fixed the problem.
