I have been attempting to reinstall Paradox8 due to file problems earlier. Although I have reinstallled this program a number of times, this time it will not start and I receive the message "not able to initialize BDE" I have even tried running it fromthe CD and that does not work.
I have deleted all *.net and *.lck files, but nothing seems to help. I appreciate any advice.

If you are using XP, you will once again need to give yourself full access rights to the Corel and Borland folders.

First you must log in as administrator, then right click the folders and go to properties, then the security tab. After that. select your username and give yourself FULL ACCESS rights to each one, making sure the 'and subfolders' box is checked (default).
