Finding text in string

I am new to Crystal reports and i am having trouble getting the proper number of records from my select criteria. My select criteria is {table.field} like "*KRGS*". I know there are 2 types of results that contain the string, they are KRGS.3211234 and KRGS.XXXXXX. The above is only capturing the KRGS.3211234 records. I am sure there is a basic reason for this but I am at a loss.
