Common Warehouse Metamodel (CWM)

Hello. Has anyone used the Common Warehouse Metamodel (CWM) for implementing metadata into their DWH project? Could you inform me of the positives and negatives of the CWM model. Also, is this the de facto standard for DWH metadata integration.
