DB design comments/suggestions

Well right now I'm working on a project which requires me to make an inventory control database which is meant to handle product ordering and back-ordering information. I'm using MySQL for the back-end and I intend to use Access for the front-end (although I'm tempted to create a front-end using perl) because of ease of use. I am relatively inexperienced with creating and programming databases. Basically, I'm hoping to get some feedback and suggestions on what I have thus far, specifically with the design (is it reasonable, will it/won't it work, etc.). Attached to the thread should be the Schema for the database that I've created. Thanks in advance for any help given, and considering this is just the beginning of the db you might see me around a lot from now on
