databases with picture field

I'm a jewelry store in Miami, Fl. that uses a .jpg to identify inventoried stock in ACDSEE's Browser.
I presently use dBase III 3 +, Yes, I know I'm old. Yet, it works for us. I want a new Windows GUI look. Any suggestions which will allow the importation of the .dbf fields? So that when I'm done setting up the new database I'll be able to see a record with the standard fields as well as the .jpg picture field.

Nearly all of the present generation of databases will read DBF files. Pick one that suits you, and move on my friend.

You should probably give FoxPro a serious look if you are familar with dBase. FoxPro is basically dBase's bigger brother, much of what you already know about PRG files will carry forward.

For database engine's I'd suggest SQL Server. It interfaces well with FoxPro, and provides the closest "feel" to what dBase did that I've found so far.
