differences between OLAP and relational technologies?
what is the differences between OLAP and rdbms? give me some examples ?

OLAP is a method for analyzing data. An Excel pivot table is one example, and a Perl script that converts XML containing US Census data to map points is another example.

RDBMS is a database technology. Network, Hierarchical, RDBMS, and OO are examples.
