Question Data warehouse design consderations?

Hii All,

I am new to data warehousing. If some one could let me know what are the design consideration for database design used in data warehousing. Right now i have made a i design but i how do i check wheather it is good design for date warehousing? So let me know the check points and other things that i should keep in mind while i design my database for data warehousing?

what are some of the information requirements? for example, if you make a data warehouse for an ecommerce web site, you might want to answer questions like "which regions have the highest rate of abandoned orders?" or "what product lines have the least profitability?"

one sure way to measure whether a data warehouse design is any good is to try some of the queries against it that it was built to satisfy
