Database Design (Storing information about contacts)

I am designing a database for a small retail store that sells car parts, accessories, and car care products. Among many things, I am planning on storing information about the customers cars (make, model, year). Other information I wish to store includes: birth date, age, income, education, etc.

What is the best way to store this type of information? Possibly an Attribute table?
