n00b coming through..

Hi There,

I am currently in my 2nd year of my computer science major. One of my subjects this year is relational databases..It seems pretty interesting so far. I have been doing basic database design along with simple queries using MySQL.

I'm enjoying it so far but as design principles get more complex, im losing my grip. I have decided to come on here to get some advice and help on an upcoming project.

I am also interested in programming in Java and plan on learning c#.net (when I get some time).I like to keep in touch with web design.

At first i'll probably be asking all the questions, but later on when I get more familiar with everything I will try and help the newcomers just like me..

Thanks for reading,

Makko

Hi fella

Sounds like you are an industrious student on brief reading but just to give you a heads up - we will nudge, hint, offer criticism but we won't do your homework for you. Put in the work and we will happily play guide. Try and loaf and....well - we can get up to all sorts of things

Thanks..

Oh, im well aware of the "homework policy" that most specialist forums have in place, I have often used programming forums for guidance in the past...I don't like to ask how to do something straight up. I love a bit of a challenge..

Good (wo)man! You'll get on just fine here then. Likely the DB Concepts & Design forum will be your starting point
