Hi, I am doing a serious database for the first time and I need your help.

I am creating a website with all the courses in my country, where users can search to find the one they want to attend. This would only come up to not more than 1,000 records.

Its my final year project, but it seems too simple to me. My lecturer suggested data mining, data warehousing, query optimization.

I would like to know what I can do to make the project the best it can be?

I am new to the programming field, but I don't mind putting in some work to learn something new.

have you prepared any statistical reports analyzing the course data?

one way to make your project better is to secure a domain name and some hosting, and actually create your site on the world wide web (assuming that you have so far only created it on your school's intranet)

where are you getting your data from? consider letting registered members upload more courses through your web site
