How can I get the db design of Wiki
|
|
Hi all,
I am trying to develop a site which looks like wikipedia. I never had the experience of database design till now.
Can someone help me with some links or books on the db architecture of Wiki?
Thanks in advance,
Renuka Prasad.

What does this question have to do with Oracle?
wikipedia uses MYSQL, not Oracle.

Hi, anacedent,
I thought the db's architecture/design has nothing to do with the technology, I use to implement it. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Why? There are dozens of Wiki software packages out there. Most of them are available as free downloads. Surely one of them will meet your requirements and will cost you less than it takes to re-invent the wheel. This isn't really a SQL Server question anyway.

The system behind wikipedia is MediaWiki. MediaWiki uses a database to store the content.
