Question Testing business logic in the db

Hi,

how do you testing your business logic?
do you generating a synthetic data for all your tables or do you generate it only for importante components?

i think it can be very difficult to generate all data, because tables can have a lot of multiple foreign keys.

what 's your experience?

thx,
alex
