Syncing CE devices with an Oracle back-end

Hi all,

I realise this may not be the most relevant of forums but I tried posting in the apps section before looking at the response rate generated by the postings there. That said I am at the design stage so maybe its not so bad....

Anyway, I am looking to provide many mobile CE devices access to an Oracle database via a syncronisation server and occasional dial-in sessions.

On the client side, the database must have a C++ API for integration
into existing software.

Preliminary research suggests a few obvious candidates for an end to
end solution : Oracle 9i lite, Sybase mobilink/ultralite, SQL Server
CE. (although I have been warned that SQL Server CE is slow)

Does anyone have any relevant experience and advice in this area? Is
it wise to stick to an end-to-end solution rather than pick individual
software modules eg Syncrologic?

Any comments would be very greatfully recieved.

END-to-END solution is great ..but little costly
Try OCI controls of ORacle or NAtive procedures written in C for the database dealings.
