how to write macros for impromptu - COGNOS?

Dear frenz..
I have problems in writing macros for congos impromptu do you knwo how to write them and debug them becoz even after writing them when i run them using impromptu tools it shows an error but not the exact error i mean line number and all so can any one please tell me how to find out which line has what error and how to solve them pls repsond soon as it is an urgent requirement for my projct?
