Hello all,
I'm searching for a good model for a customer database. I work for a place that has lots of customers, new and returning. Our internal application is Access with VB/VB scripting...and eventually we will be attaching it to a website for online ordering.

I'm looking for a solid model, maybe with a history of success. Can anybody point me in the right direction?? An online resource or thread in another discussion group. Even if you have some good advice to give I'd appreciate it.

of special note:
In our scope meetings we defined a special situation where payers information can be defined in several scenarios:
1) one event - many customers, multiple billing sources (e.g. school competition with independant teams)
2) one business - multiple contacts, multiple billing sources (e.g. corporation with independent departments)
3) one business - multiple contacts, one billing source (e.g. church)
4) one customer - one contact, one billing source (e.g. individual)

The shipping element can be just as convoluted.
