db2 log issue

Is there a reason why DB2 would skip any archieve log numbers ? For instance:

S000100
S000101
S000104 ** This file was truncated after a backup ***

After the backup all connections to the database were disconnected. I saw
logs 102 and 103 in the active logs directory, but after the last connection they did not get copied to the archive location, nor were they in the active log directory. What could have happened to them ?

Does anyone have any home grown scripts for zipping/moving db2 logs ? Just in case this continues to happen.
