Error on login to the datawarehouse center

I am getting the following exception when trying to login to the datawarehouse center

"DWC06200E An unexpected communications error has occurred.

Connection refused: no further information

RC = 6200 RC2 = 0"

I did a search on the net and got the following:

"This usually occurs when the Warehouse Server service on the Windows platform is not running.

Make sure that both the Warehouse Logger and Warehouse Server services are started on the Windows platform that has been designated as the Control Server. Once both services have successfully started, retry the login."

which I implemented but which threw up another problem a popup dialog:

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program:\Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB\java\jdk\jre\bin\javaw.exe

abnormal program termination"

I am running on DB2 8.1 with fix pack 5 for both the server and warehouse editions. Any ideas?

Hi,

I had very similar problem with Warehouse Center v8 fp5. I think that there is a problem in fp5. Did you try to connect to warehouse server before you had installed the fp5?

I advise you to uninstall the fp5 (you would need to reinstall the whole DB2).
Or you can also report the bug to IBM support in your local region.

Hope this helps,
Grofaty

Thanks for that. I uninstalled it and tried with fixpak 3 and got the same errors so I uninstalled and went back to 8.1 which worked.

Cheers,
Martin

Hi,

If you have testing system you can try out the db2 v8 fp 6

I haven't tried the fixpack yet, so I can't promise you anything.

Hope this helps,
Grofaty

Hi,

I have installed the FP 6 for db2 v8.1 on Windows 2000 Profesional SP4, and the problem from FP 5 has disappeared. I can log in to Warehouse Center! That is good news.

Hope this helps,
Grofaty
