Talking

What version of db2 are you using and on what operating system?

Assuming that you are on windows,
Try

c:\program files\ibm\sqllib\bin> db2cw

c:\program files\ibm\sqllib\bin> db2

you should get a db2 prompt

db2 => ? <Errorcode>

Hope this helps,
Newbie
