DB2 V 8.1 Client Install Failure ?

Windows 2000 Server/DB2 UDB v8.1 Client Install
______________________________________________

We were installing the client on a Windows 2000 Server and it failed with because it couldn't access a file because of a local policy on the machine. We backed out the install, but when you try to reinstall, it will not because the failed install made entries to the registry. It doesnt list it in the "add/remove programs". We removed many of the obvious entries in the registry, but we have missed some because it still will not install. I had the same problem with a failed DB2 Connect V 7.2 failed install one time and I was able to clean out the registry. Does anyone know what else I can look for in the registry or where there is a list somewhere?

Thanks,

Beck

Hi,

Can you post the error message? What does db2 client installation reports when it fails?

I dont have access to the server at this time, but the message was something like, "DB2 Launchpad cant proceed with installation due to previous installation failure"
