DB2 v8 ESE and AIX4.3 v/s AIX5.x

Hi,

I have to install DB2 on AIX box BUT need to decide if doing the installation on existing AIX 4.3 should be okay considering we will be upgrading the OS to 5.2 in month time.

Also, let's say I go ahead with the installation on AIX4.3, do I have to do anything else to DB2 code after upgrading the OS to 5.2?

Thanks.

FYI.

If DB2 UDB ESE v8 is installed on AIX4.3 and later on if you upgrade the OS to AIX5.2....everything remains the same except you cannot create 64-instances (according to IBM Tech Support)
