Question

Select tables from other database

Hi All,

I want to know is there a way to select some tables from another database in db2. We have two databases database A and database B. I connect to database A and want to query from database B which is on other server and other port. I know this is possible in Oracle using DBLink.

Any help is appreciated.

Yes it is, in DB2 it is called Federation. Look in the manuals on how to set this up.

You might try creating an alias pointing to the other subsystem.
