Instance Name used by Configuration Assistant

I think this has been asked before, but I can't it using the search function.

When cataloging remote databases using DB2 8.1 Client Configuration Assistant, the instance name appears to be random name such as NDEE60EE(DB2). This is not the real instance name. When cataloging multiple databases under the same instance, it creates multiple different instance names on the GUI display instead of reusing the real instance name.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
