DB2 v8 64-bit and TSM setup
RDBMS ==> DB2 UDB v8 ESE
OS ==> AIX 5.x

Most of our instances are 32-bit except a few odd ones and I was wondering if we require 64-bit API for TSM client for the 64-bit v8 instances. If anybody has any experience with this setup please provide your input or any link out there you are aware of.

Do not mix 32 bit and 64 bit tivoli storage manager client and DB2 instances.The backup utilitiy fails. The reason is simple because of the shared libraries. check the link
