Deadlock Monitoring

Can anyone tell me the best way to monitor for and pinpoint deadlocks. I need to identify which processes are in contention (if possible). I have a process reporting a deadlock, but need to know what is locking the data that this process is reporting as locked. Is there any way to do this ? We are running DB2 on AIX.

Please help!

Thanks

Trish

You should set up deadlock event monitoring ...

http://www.gseukdb2.org.uk/downloads/0405event.zip

will show you how to setup and read event monitors

Cheers
