Modelling table realations of a database (z/OS)

Hi,

is there a product, that can model the relations between tables in a database? I would see the relations of a particular table visualised in a GUI on a workstation. The DBMS (DB2) is running on a mainframe.

I don't know, whether the product just exists, but maybe you can tell me that?

Thanks,
Sven

Hi!

We use a product, named ErWIN - it is from the CA's product bag. You need to have proper connection, ODBC or otherwise - but no other worries, ErWIN understand DB2 z/OS syntax.

Probably there are many others, but I don't remember any.

Cheers, Bill

yup... CA's Allfusion ERwin is a very good product

i'm not sure if IBM's Rational Rose has this feature and supports z/OS

Thumbs up

You can use Sybase's PowerDesigner 10.0..its a real good modelling tool. You just need to point to the database in question and the model will be displayed for your use.

Cheers,
