Information Integrator

I'm researching different methods by which to replicate data from a DB2 database to a SQL Server database. One of the tools I found was DataJoiner, but it looks like that as of the end of this month, IBM will no longer support DJ.

The next generation of DJ is Information Integrator. I tried to find a trial edition but no luck. The closest thing is a developer's edition, which runs around $2000.

Is there anyway to at least "test drive" II?

Thanks!

DB2 for LUW has the Datajoiner functionality built in to it starting in V7.2.
Version 8.1 has a tool for easily setting up the replication.

You should not need to buy anything else.

I've been through the Replication stuff for v 8.1 and have seen nothing which would allow me to go to SQL Server. It seems to only support DB2 subscribers.

If I'm looking in the wrong place, please let me know.

When defining target servers, only DB2 servers / databases are displayed.

Read the Replication guide and the Redbook:
http://publib-b.boulder.ibm.com/Redb...6828.html?Open

Look for non-DB2 data sources.

I'm working on getting federated support set up on my Wiondows box and am encountering an issue with creating wrappers.

I try to create a wrapper via Control Center and get the following error:

The GET_WRAP_CFG_C stored procedure returned an error. Return
code 48, locale: en_US No properties files were found in
directory.

I've run the db2updv8 command, stopped and restyarted the instance, but no change.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!
